The Realist has arrived

Postby Realist on Tue Jan 29, 2008 1:42 pm

Hi everybody. I'm Realist, aka, Will. I don't actually play pool because I'm what Liam Farrell would probably term "talentless".
Those who do know me will know me through Martin Kirby aka Dohboy. I was given the website address a week sunday ago by Mark White so I thought I'd take the time to venture on and nose around.
I know a few players from mingling with them at Reds:

Dean Davies.
Roger Charles.
Dave Lane.
Darren 'Blob' Lee.
Roy Pontefract.
Mark White.
Liam Farrell.
Mick The Stick.
Benji.

There are plenty more but I'll save the speech for when I become Prime Minister, lets face it, I couldn't do any worse than the shower of shite we've had these last 11 years. :x

For those who still can't place who I am, I have a myspace page www.myspace.com/realist1974 where I have posted some pics from our trips to Yarmouth, and shamelessly posted some pics stolen from this site. Enjoy.

Welcome to the forum, and yes, I know who you are now.

I'm sure our photographer won't mind about the photos you've pinched, but I'm not sure the public should be subjected to some of the dodgy photos of Corner on your myspace page. Not sure about the dodgy one of me either.

Nice one Will.

By the way, Shawshank is a great film. My favourite of all time.

Are you really a bookie?

Thanks for the welcome lads. Makes me laugh, I'm bleedin hopeless at pool and here is me signed up to a pool forum. What I gotta do now is try and work out who is who with all these forum names. :?

9_Ball, Shawshank was an excellent film. I'm not one for watching films to be honest but it was recommended to me by Mick The Stick - in fact it was Stick who lent it to me and I eventually got around to watching it about 6 months later. I could have kicked myself once I did watch it though because I thought it was brilliant. I can't imagine there are many people who haven't seen it now but if you haven't then buy a copy and watch it.

I take bets from people I know, it means I can work from home and when you are a lazy b*st&rd like me who doesn't appreciate getting up very early then it really is a godsend. If you ever fancy a bet, feel free to ring me. I have run the book with Dohboy at the last couple of finals days too, and whenever he is running a book on something I am usually involved.

Will, is that income solely from the bookmaking interests or do you have fingers in other pies as well?

If it is from the bookies I don't think I will be having a bet. It sounds like nobody backs any winners with you!
Thanks for the offer though. I'm sure I will have a dabble on finals day with yourself or Martin.

You know who I am anyway. I'm Craig. Did you get the Betfair mobile sorted out?
I'm sure in your line of work that kind of thing would come in useful.

See you soon.

How do Craig. :)

I make my money in various ways, not just to do with bookmaking. I do have my fingers in other pies but mainly I eat the pies as I'm sure you can tell by looking at my figure.
As far as nobody backs any winners, I had a guy back 22/1, 16/1 and 12/1 winners all in the same day a few weeks back, I started the day £220 in front with him, and ended the day £440 behind, so I can assure you people do back winners.

I haven't got the Betfair mobile sorted yet, but I will do now you have just reminded me. Thanks.

That's the 1st time I've ever been asked to do a modelling assignment. :D I'll have a word with my agent and we'll be in touch about my fee. Seriously though, if you were to have my pic on the side of your van I think you may need to buy a bigger van.
